A:Answer As it sits, it is about 6 inches tall before lifting the lid. It is about 17.5 inches wide and about 15 inches deep. If you lift the lid, you' need about 12 more inches of clearance
But if you just feed the document (s) and not lift the lid you shouldn't need the extra clearance. There is an arm that pulls out in front to catch the copies that 7.5 inches.
Otherwise, they just fall to the floor. I like the HP OfficeJet 5255.Had to get my son to set it up for me. Each of the functions, copy, scan, fax each has to be addressed and I am electronically challenged.
