Mine works perfectly with wifi, maybe you don’t have good signal

Dropped wi-fi connections have multiple causes, ranging from either turning off the printer when it's not in use, to an overcrowded router. HP Support is free during the printer's warranty and Best Buy also has its Geek Squad support. Both support teams are very knowledgeable.
