You can sign up for different amounts of monthly pages to print. When the printer needs new cartridges they will ship them to you. If you go under on pages they carry over with a limit and if you use all pages there are one time fees.

The HP OfficeJet 8015e printer, if set up with a wireless internet connection, is then eligible for a subscription to HP Instant Ink, which is a way to cut your ink costs by up to 50% and you'll never run out. The printer will automatically let HP know over the internet when you are running low on ink and HP will then send you more cartridges, so you never run out. Instant Ink pages are pages regardless of how much ink you use to print that page. The monthly charge covers ink and shipping. You can cancel or change your plan any time.
