• It did with my prior HP. Just don’t unseal it before you are ready to replace the empty cartridge.

• Thank you for your question. Ink will be sent to you only when the printer is running low. If you cancel the Instant Ink plan after the three free months, you will need to purchase a set of ink, because the Instant Ink cartridges will no longer work.
