Did you buy your replacement cartridge from a reputable source? Also, I would start with the basic. - Have you restarted the printer? - Have you tried the old ones? Did they give the message as well? - Did you try swapping the bad ones for a new set and test? I previously purchased off brand ink cartridges, and I was seeing similar issues.
