• This printer does not scan. Sorry, I do not know if the printer can send to files or emails. If you contact Best Buy's tech, I am sure that they can answer your questions.

• According to the description, this i just a dedicated printer. There are similar 3 in one models that do.

• It's a great printer, but it's not a scanner or copier. I purchased an additional, reconditioned HP printer to do those functions. Off loading those functions to a second printer proved to be an advantage. Truman
