Does this printer have a printhead problem? null

I have used one of these printers for about 2 yrs and with heavy use. We have not had a printhead problem (the very problem that led us to purchasing a new machine). I don't think they have a replaceable printhead in them. If they do I have not found it. Oh, and I do have the 8610 in my house but use a 8620 at work.

This printer started with an error code missing or failed printhead a month or 2 ago, then it went away. Now, today I've tried to reset printer and reinstall printhead but nothing is working. So, yes I'd say there is a printhead problem if after 15 months and only two changes of ink cartridges then it doesn't work.
