“What is the difference between an e 8610 and a 8610 printer?”

• The "e" stand for e-print which is used by mobile devices like Apple, Cell Phones etc. The straight 8610 is a standard printer but is unable to print from apple, cell phones etc.

• An HP Officejet Pro 8610 (a or e) is the same printer, the whole model number is HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One printer, the e stands for ePrint and the a stands for the printer being an All-in-One.

• I believe the "ePrinter" designation allows you to assign an email address to the printer through HP's website, and send email-based print jobs to the printer.
