Yes it comes with ink. Uses cartridges 950 (black) and 951 (color - 3 separate cartridges). These cartridges are also available as 950XL and 951XL.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it comes with ink and it has 1 black and 3 color cartridges, part numbers 950 and 951. You can buy replacement cartridges or HP also offers an automatic ink refill solution based on your print count; there were 3 or 4 different tiers. The printer is connected to the Internet and ink automatically is delivered to you when you are low for a monthly cost. I haven't signed up for this yet but it sounded nice.

It comes with both black and color ink cartridges but they are install versions and only produce about half as many pages as the regular ones.
