Yes, I've done duplex scanning (and copying) on this AIO and it was very easy and with high quality results. It isn't as fast as the next tier models 8730 and 8740 since it has to flip the scanned document for the back side (the costlier models have one-pass scanning using scanners for each side at the same time). I also figured out how to scan to an email account pretty easily and to a network folder with a few challenges (you MUST have user accounts established for it to work, i.e. Windows logon accounts on my WHS 2011 server; it didn't work with my NAS since I have that as open access without specific accounts).
