The HP+ program is an optional program. The use of genuine HP ink cartridges (962/962XL) are needed for this OfficeJet Pro 9015e printer.

If you print less than 50 pages a month, it's probably not worth it for you. 50 pages a month costs $3.99 or $47.88/year starting AFTER the 6 free months and the free initial replacements you get right away. At that rate, you might not need new cartridges, which are very expensive - $95 for a regular size 4-pack, for over a year. By that time, you might be able to find inexpensive remanufactured cartridges. I signed up for the 100 pages per month plan starting last October and I just used my initial FREE color cartridge replacements this month. So they lasted me 5 months and I have about 5-10% left on the black cartridge that it came with. ALL THAT SAID, the free initial replacement cartridges are a good deal and I think you can cancel any time.
