There is no way to lock in the paper tray for 8.5x11 paper. it only locks for A4 and 8.5 x 14". This is a crazy flaw and possibly means these trays were intended for Europe and not US use; maybe this is why they were on sale but it would be nice to tell people. I taped in a width of soft foam at the end of the tray to block it at the right distance.
Sorry, there was a problem. It struggles to print single sheets and specialty paper such as cardstock and photo paper. No manual feed also. The tray should have another slot, slightly further back to allow for the 8.5x11 standard in the US. Boggles my mind how they could be sold like this fully knowing the average user of the product will not be using A4 paper. Show me on the box where this printer is made for only that paper type. You can't because it isn't. It wasn't sold to me as such. What a waste of time and effort. Too late to return it now as I've used it more than I'm happy to admit. If you're printing A4, buy this thing. It's great. Otherwise, avoid like the plague.

To adjust the paper tray for 8.5 x 11 inch paper on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e printer, you can follow these steps: Open the paper tray at the bottom of the printer. You will find a small button or release under the paper tray. Press this button to adjust the tray size. Slide the tray to fit the 8.5 x 11 inch paper size. The tray should lock into place for this size.
