Thank you for your question. The OfficeJet Pro 9125e All-in-One Printer requires all four ink cartridges to be functional in order to operate. If one of the cartridges is out of ink, the printer will not work properly until the empty cartridge is replaced.

This printer show your ink levels and give you a warning when it runs low.
