There is indeed an extra slot for upgrading RAM. I went with an 8GB Kingston HyperX DDR4 2133MHz RAM and it functions perfectly. That is the spec you should keep in mind: it has 2133Mhz ram in one of the slots already so plan on either getting another 2133Mhz RAM card or upgrading both to 2400Mhz. Good luck!
