“Does this monitor have HDR and can you turn it off and is your brightness locked when HDR is on? I have seen reviews where blacks appear grey in dark settings. Is this a good monitor for gaming,would like some opinons before i buy, any software updates?”

It does have HDR, those settings are controlled on your PC (or can be) PC can control hues, brightness, etc but so can the monitor by hand, if you choose to. Greqt monitor. Mine came updated, but it supports needed updates that will come out.

HP released the latest firmware update for this monitor back in February 2024. In HDR mode, the manual brightness is disabled so you can see more detail.
