I personally upgraded my RAM as well. I used the same brand and model as the computer came with, 8gb DDR4. I upgraded from 16gb to 32gb. I used the HyperX Fury/Beast (older/newer) model with the same storage space. I would shy away from different sizes and speeds became the computer will register the slowest speed.
