Yes, it comes with a TEMPORARY license for Office. After the trial period (30 days I believe), you have to buy the software subscription, or go third party like I did (try Groupon and use licensechoiceDOTcom like I did... Much cheaper than MS, & you get to pay a 1-time fee and you own it.
