“Isn't there a mistake in the specs? It says USB Ports (Total): 2 but then lists 2 USB Type A and 1 USB Type C for 3 total. That is also what it looks like in the pictures. I've seen this on every HP model I've looked at on the Best Buy site.”

Yes, that is an incorrect listing. The computer does have 3 total USB ports including 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (Data Transfer Only, 5 Gb/s signaling rate) and 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A (Data Transfer Only) ports.
