• This laptop comes with 6GM (1X2gb + 1X4gb). You can go upto 16GB on this laptop; or that's how much this processor supports, according to Intel website. You can remove these two chips, and slap two 8GB ram sticks to this laptop and you should be good to go.

• You can but it is somewhat difficult. I had to look up a take apart and luckily I found one on youtube.
