• Of course. You'll just need a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter cable.

• That should be no problem. BUT, if there is an HDMI on the MacBook Pro, you are good to go. IF the 2012 does not have HDMI but has a mini display port, you will have to buy a mini display port to HDMI converter. My 2011 MacBook Pro has no HDMI so I use the aforementioned converter which works very well.
