This monitor only comes with a power cord. You would need to purchase either VGA or HDMI connection to connect to your desktop.

The product info page on Best Buy's web site says it includes a VGA cable. If your desktop has VGA, you're all set. If it has HDMI or DVI, you'll need the appropriate cable.

Good question. This monitor has 1 VGA port and 2 HDMI ports. It only comes with a VGA cable. Your desktop should have a VGA port, but if you want to connect it via HDMI (if your desktop has an HDMI port), you will have to purchase the cable separately. I hope this helps.
