HP answered a similar question and apparently there is no space on this computer to install an optical driver.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have one of these computers. It does have a place for an internal optical drive and there are wires stowed away inside for drives. I have not had one installed as of yet, but I am looking into it. So far, I know that it will only accept an Ultra Slim drive (9.5 mm) - which is a bit unfortunate, because there are some better drives that are of the wider variety - which are 12.7 mm. I may try to get an internal drive, but it would probably be better to utilize an external drive. I have seen that a Roofull may be a good one.
