“If I remove the cover to the port for the integrated graphics on the APU, could I use the integrated graphics instead of the RX 580 (let's say if the dedicated RX 580 died)? What type of port is under that metal cover that says "Do not remove?" HDMI?”

• If you remove the RX580 you should be able to use the onboard graphics.

• No, the motherboard does not support integrated graphics, even if the processor does. This does not stop the system from reserving 1 or 2 gigs of system ram (depending on what bios version you have, the later the version the more gigs of ram it takes away from you) for something you couldn't use even if you wanted to. Seems to be a major mistake that HP has ignored to this point in time.
