“The HP support website says this model will only support RAM speed of 2400 (PC4 19200) yet the RAM stick that came with it runs at 2666 (PC4-21300) and HP support on here has said THAT is the max RAM speed. Which is it?”

HP yet again contradicting themselves as the support site they linked in the answer is the one I used where under upgrade information it says PC419200 (DDR4 2400) is max supported, contradicting the installed RAM the pc came with.

Please try again later.We're not sure which HP Support site you're referring to, but if you go to the OFFICIAL specs page for this computer on HP Support https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06124756 ... you will see that the RAM is in fact Speed: PC4-21300 MB/s Type: DDR4-2666 as we have stated.
