Yes. I found a pretty reasonable and good drive at Best Buy for about $25.00. Its the LG superMulti slim DVD drive. So far it has worked as good as any other drive I've found.

Yes, if you want to play or write a cd or dvd. Some are reasonably priced. I got a $100 one for $20.

Yes if you need to use a disk. Otherwise burn to a thumb drive.
