No, it does not, that is the only thing missing!. Otherwise it is a great laptop!

It does have the option to backlight using the f11 key

According to the specifications it has a backlit keyboard.

There seems to be some disagreement on this, as Best Buy's webpage states (twice) that it DOES have a backlit keyboard. My suggestion is that you check the HP website directly for a definitive answer.
