It should be good for that long, but one never knows with Microsoft. However, IF they are going to pull support (highly doubtful) you will be clearly notified and the upgrade path will be spelled out. The upgrade to 11 is simple and straight forward. I have upgraded two of my 10 units to 11 pro and had no difficulties. And I am 82 years old, forgot most of my technical stuff after 50 years in that industry.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thank you for the question. The PC hardware should last 5 years and beyond, however, Microsoft will discontinue support of the Windows 10 operating system in October, 2025. You can still use Windows 10 thereafter, without support. You can transition to Windows 11 at any time, for free. Spectrum works fine. Yes, you can get assistance in set up by reaching out to the Geek Squad at your local Best Buy.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We bought this machine a couple of months ago. The Windows 10 Pro operating system was excellent and continues to provide us with a powerful computing resource. Will it (Windows 10) be good for five years? YES, but will Microsoft continue to support that version? Possibly, however knowing that 11 is fully deployed and functional, look for support (updates, etc) to begin dropping away for 10. IF Windows 12 comes out, then be ready to move away if you want continued support. The system will be functional for as long as you want it. But the migration to Windows 11 is smooth and minimally problematic. I plan on upgrading my Windows 10 pro system in February to the next version which would be Windows 11 Pro. But there is no reason to think that your Windows 10 would not be operable for five years.
