It depends on how much you print, but each bottle of HP ink has 5 times or more ink than an XL cartridge for older printers. IIRC they estimate 5000 color or 7000 black pages. Now, I print a lot, so most likely I'll be refilling mine well before 2 years. So far, I really like this printer, and recommend it.

The printer comes with a bottle of each color of ink. Enough to fill the printer’s ink wells. The manufacturer considers that a two year supply of ink.
