I really like the HP Spectre machines. This is the same system I purchased 2 years ago, just updated processor. The actual "footprint" is different. This system box is not as thin as my previous one. My previous one was more long and narrow (loved it) and had a smaller track pad. This newer one is larger footprint and track pad is much larger...clearly no one needs a trackpad that large. I spoke with HP and the Spectre does not have option for the smaller footprint model I purchased 2 years ago. The laptop functionality however is great!

Both laptops are nice but not having the full official Yoga specifications, we cannot make a comparison between that and the Spectre, an HP Premium brand. We submit the decision will be based on how you use the laptop and how much you value support if you ever need it afterward. HP Support is available by telephone, on the HP site, and through chat with Live Experts.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've NOT had this particular machine, BUT I currently have the newest Spectre, with the 14 inch screen and the I 7 ultra processor. I've been back and forth as well with the new HP spectre, and the Lenovo 9i ( I've owned both, and to tell you the truth, I like the Lenovo better. The new HP doesn't come with a sleeve, as the Lenovo does, and for a price tage of 1629.00 at BB, it should. The newest Spectre ( 14-ae0013dx isn't as powerfull as the Lenovo 9i. The screen on the Lenovo looks better too.
