• Laptop isn't very top heavy. Bottom tends to be heavier definitely.

• This laptop weighs 4.3 pounds. I don't know if the screen is heavier than the keyboard since they can't be weighed separately. It doesn't tilt back when I set it on my lap, so I don't think it will tilt backwards on your lap. It seems to be well balanced.
