My sense, having bought 2 Spectres (both the 2017-model *and* the late 2020 14 OLED 3:2) is that HP has steadily increased both its build quality and quality control. My only complaint with the 2017 Spectre was the underwhelming battery life. HP solved that problem, while also adding a taller display for productivity, a bundled pen that works very well with the touchscreen, and what I think is a gorgeous, convenient gem cut design with an angled rear USB-C port. Every item out of the box felt more premium 3 years later, except the leather sleeve. But most other 2-in-1s don't have a sleeve included, so it's all gravy. Intel Evo certification creates a fast and efficient experience. Feels more like starting a cell phone than a traditional WIndows machine.

Please try again later.I bought a spectre x360 back in 2015 that I used as my sole computer for about 4 yearrs and had no issues besides some minor Windows hiccups found on most machines. I traveled with that laptop extensively and never ran into problems with hardware. The only reason I got rid of it was simply because the battery was getting old and not doing a great job holding a charge and I just wanted something new. I bought this latest 13.5" spectre and have had a similarly great experience so far - albeit a limited time.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I recommend steering clear of HP. I have a Spectre that's two years old with a distended battery inside and lines on the screen. Purchased this new 11th gen Spectre and get the black screen of death repeatedly.
