I was able to get this 8th gen i7 Spectre x360 15" last night after a couple hours in the store. It seems that a lot of stores have a couple in stock but when I went on Sunday, October 8th, BB rep said he couldn't ring me out because the release date was said to be 10/15/17. But when I checked again yesterday, the site showed a release date of 10/8/17 and was told via phone, my local BB has less than 3 in stock. So I went in to the store and seems like it was the same issue where they couldnt ring me out but the fix is to do an online order n pick up in store, which took a couple corporate phone calls and some wait time on hold. But, after 2 hours, I was able to come home with this 8th gen i7 model. Love it so far!

I was on the phone with corporate today, and they searched company-wide... no store shows this sku as being in stock or having been sold. The lady even called Clearwater. Are you sure you didn't but the 15" with the 7th generation i7? Post a photo --> under Device Manager in Windows, click the + sign on Processors and take a photo of what it shows.
