• I don't play games myself, but Minecraft is included right on the computer - at least the app for Windows 10. I don't know if it's a lighter version, but it must play. I'd say it's a great computer for a 9 year old. I love it.

• You can only do very light work on this model. You should be able to run Minecraft but ideally you would get a computer with a larger hard drive and atleast 8GB of RAM.
