I have had this pc for 3 years and it has not given me any trouble. It is very user friendly for older or younger ages. The only thing I do not like is that it does not have a CD- ROM, I will make certain my next laptop does have a CD ROM. As far as gaming, I am not certain because I do not play gaming at my age. However, there is always the the Microsoft Store where your grand daughter can upload from the store and install it. Make certain you check whether it is a free application or not. before you do the installation of the appllication. Hope this helps,
