Hi Betty, thank you for reaching out. Good news! Newer printers don't need drivers downloaded to the computer. You can use the HP Smart app on your Smartphone or laptop to get an HP printer on you're network. It's a simple wireless set-up - minutes to siccess. If it's not an HP printer, follow the manufacturer's directions for getting the printer on your network. You can also connect your printer directly to the computer with a USB-A to USB-B cable.
