If you are planning to use the laptop for work then get a laptop at least an IntelCore i5 with an 8gb memory. If you dont care about the speed too much then you can go with 4 gb memory. And if you want something a little more economic then you can try intelcore i3 with an 8gb ram or 4gb, your choice. Lenovo and HP are my choices generally.
