No question about battery life can be adequately addressed without knowing the exact circumstances under which it was tested: condition of battery, other programs running (including WiFi and Ethernet), screen brightness, etc. Advise you search for reviews by accepted companies (Consumer Reports, etc.) that will provide the exact circumstances under which testing was accomplished.
