It can definitely hold more than 16GB, but there is a discrepancy on just how much the maximum is, even from HP. Search "RAM" in the Questions section and you will see for yourself: sometimes HP says 32GB, other times 64GB. Checking several websites for the answer, I found two that said 32GB was the maximum, while two others said 64GB.

If he did it, I would believe that. There is no good reason to come onto this forum and lie about something like that.
