This is how it tracks movement on whatever surface it is on. It replaced the old rubber balls on old mice.

It is an infrared light use to detect changes on the surface to determine the movement of the mouse.

It is the optical sensor that moves the pointer on your computer/laptop.

The light lets you know that the batteries are still working and/or that the mouse is turned on (ie using battery power).

The light indicates that the mouse is ready to use.

its the sensors, it acts like that rubber ball that use to be in the old mouse

It indicates the mouse is powered on or off.

That means that the mouse is on and in use.

it alerts you of a low battery !!
