• I use mine in the living room with my tablets connected to the tv and can confirm working up to 23 feet with no issue. You may have to make the initial connection within 4 inches depending on the tablet (that's the case with my Asus Transformer)

• I just tried it, and I was able to walk about 35 feet away before I started noticing any connection issues. I doubt you'll have any problems.
