Yes you can and I'd advise it if you're willing to spend the extra money because the subwoofer is the weakest link in the sound. Just make sure if that's the only thing you're replacing to get a power subwoofer that has an impedance value of 6ohz or 8ohz, if you get a subwoofer with a value of 4ohz your system won't be so efficient because you can only set your impedance to 4ohz or 6ohz and above and you can't set impedance values for individual speakers sad to say.
