What type of charger does the nexus 6p use null

It is NOT Micro USB. It is USB-C. New wave of charging port. Delivers faster charging and doesn't require figuring out which side is up to charge. B-)

You can use any charger, but if you use the one that comes with the phone it charges really fast, like in 30-40 min for most of a charge. Just have to use a usb c on the end that plugs into the phone, other end could be usb c if you have a USB c charger or any regular USB port with the provided charge cable. I bought an extra usb to usb c cable for my car and it will charge fine, just slower.
