“I asked t-mobile to see if the phone would work on their network and they said it will but when i gave my IMEI t-mobile said that the device is not recognizable and is possibly locked. i literally just picked up the phone today. why is my device locked?”

Hi, happy to hear you just picked up the Honor 8, but sad to hear that your having that problem. The Honor 8 was designed to work with T-Mobile and should work practically out of the box. Because it is such a new phone, perhaps the person you spoke to was unfamiliar with it. If you have the ability I would recommend going to a T-Mobile store and they should be able to get you up and running in no time. (DM)
