• I'm not an expert, but from professional reviews that I've read any USB-C cable will charge this phone. The reason it's recommended you use the included cable is because it will enable fast charging. Hauwei claims 47% battery with only a 30 minute charge. A lot of the reviewers have said too that other cables will fast charge the Honor 8, but that it is finicky so finding one may prove difficult. Hope this helps!

• Plenty on the on-line giants at a reasonable price but it uses a Type C USB. I knew about USB, mini & micro (most common w/ cell phones) but just learned about Type C.

• The Honor 8 uses a USB type C charger. Best Buy does offer USB type C chargers and you can purchase them online at BestBuy.com. (SP)
