In the beginning, there are 8 classes that act as an into to get you comfortable with the machine, the strokes, posture etc. If you need to slow your stroke a bit to keep up, it's not a problem at all. The biggest point I want to make it just keep sitting down and going to work. Those 8 intro classes are either 10 or 15 minutes long and then a 5 minute cool down. A great pace to get familiar with everything. I felt awkward with everything the first few classes. The stroke and my posture just felt so foreign, but then everything clicked. It will happen for you and it's a great cardio workout for your age and weight.
