Dolby Atmos is better but there’s also a free Windows Sonic option that is just as good in my opinion. Both Dolby Atmos give much better 3D sound than stereo to help hear not just around you but above and below too

I think when it comes to xbox stereo is fine. However, it would be nice to try the Dolby out and see if it's more for you. Just know that most of these headsets is stereo with virtual surround sound. Atmos is nice but not for everyone.
