Depends on your controller. If you have the newer ones with the 3.5 jack, it plugs right in. If you have the older controllers, you'll need that separate attachment Microsoft sells.

If the controller is the original version then you'll need a headset adapter. Best way to tell the difference is just to look for the headphone jack; if it's there, you're good to go.
