You can probably get 60 fps on low in TF2. TF2 runs on Valves Source engine which is very optimized. Rust on the other hand. I would be surprised if you could load it. and if you could you'll get about 2 fps on the menu screen. When it comes to getting a new GPU, that is a hard question to answer. If you want something that you will not have to upgrade for a while, get 3000 series. If you can find one for a reasonable cost. Otherwise, I would try and get a higher-end previous generation card. Like a 1080 or 2000 series. Honestly though I would just say try to get a 3000 series card. Check local stores and see if they have and or are getting any in. All GPUs are very expensive online. and if they are not being sold for 2 or 3x the normal price., then they are being bought by bots and you cant get them anyway. Don't settle for less than what is available.
