Not only VR ready, it will crush anything VR you throw at it. This is the most powerful graphics card out right now, only rivaled by the Titan X which costs $500 more. I was doing VR last year just fine with a GTX 980, and this basically has twice the graphics power. VR only needs a GTX 970 or GTX 1060 to run, although a more powerful card will allow you to supersample and keep your frames higher, which is important in VR to avoid motion sickness.
