Financing is in the form of a citibank/best buy credit card. If you go that option you would be able to take it home the same day, plus with their best buy credit card options you can either get cash back, or set period of time interest free... Which means pay it off by set time and no interest. Not sure about the upgradeable question. I just purchased ours for our boys for christmas and havent looked into it.
